How is it September already? It has been such a busy year at PopUp Mainframe, it is worth taking a moment to look at some of the recent highlights. This latest newsletter aims to catch you up in a single read and looks forward to what you can expect from us soon.
New PopUpProducts
2025 has seen us deliver some recently innovations from the lab into our mainstream products. As we announced a few months back, PopUp Mainframe X and Z editions are now available running across x86, cloud, LinuxONE and mainframe IFL processors – whichever suits you best.
Moreover, we’re blazing trails with a new facility to enable users to log and reset their z/OS instances on PopUp, perfect for a quick reset when you’re experimenting with new mainframe software. Moving fast and breaking things is possible in our virtualized mainframe environment! Elsewhere we’re leaning in on using Ansible playbooks to streamline and automate your virtual mainframe environment administration, so managing faster delivery is as efficient as possible.

PopUp Live!
As well as building great tech, we’ve been out and about in the mainframe community, learning new insights and sharing ideas.
Most recently we were at SHARE and Tech Field Day, both in Cleveland, Ohio. What’s Next
Well, it has been a busy year, but we’re not done yet. We’ve got a big date in the diary set for November as we take our place at another must-attend mainframe event: GS UK. We’re scheduled to give five presentations (check out the agenda) and can’t wait to witness the energy at one of the industry’s most uniquely impressive community events.
